Creamy Pineapple & Mint Smoothie Recipe
With this incredible warm weather, it’s brought out the tropical in WAFA. And this evening, we start our Tough Mudder training; an hour of drills using a mix of cardio and strength exercises to get our bodies and heart ready for the challenge.
What better way to fuel the body than with this ‘Creamy Pineapple and Mint Smoothie’. As most of us will get home at 8:45 the last thing we need is a full on meal. This smoothie packs a nutrient punch and is the perfect workout meal with 293 kcals, 29g Carbs, 24g Protein and 9g Fat this really is the perfect post-workout meal. Enjoy!
- 60g frozen pineapple
- 150ml unsweetened almond milk (or use milk of your choice)
- 6 fresh mint leaves
- 60g Greek yoghurt (use dairy free if preferred)
- 25g vanilla or coconut flavour whey or rice protein powder (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 40g frozen banana
- 2 ice-cubes
- Add water to create preferred consistency
